timba is the way to go

December 22, 2007

ashlee simpson jumped on the timbaland wagon for her new third album. and the first single to lead the album is, Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya).

i must say, it does not sound like a timba-produced track mainly because it does not have his signature bleeps and humps, the one he does with his voice. and i do have to admit that i do kinda prefer this simpson to the other. though her music is often not too stellar and she has had one singing mishap and dates pete wentz. her third album seems kinda promising.

outta my head is one of them tracks that grows on you in a very weird way. it has a very upbeat hook that gets to you after a few listens. its beet will get your feet tapping after awhile and it might just make it into the clubs. its obvious that she just wants to have fun.

enjoy.

christmas round the corner

December 20, 2007

with festivities round the corner, now is not the right time to start a diet. and with festivities just around the corner, pockets will be burned so deep. and stars on christmas trees such as the one above will be cut off, in protest of.

with festivities on the bound, confessions might be made, and people might just find out something they were never meant to know. with festivities, comes the year end. where lists are made and resolutions silently assured within oneself but never to fulfill come the new year.

i am glad firsthand, that 2008 is coming. this is where i make my stake for a career with the job i have always wanted. and hopefully won’t be too hard on myself if in the event i do not get what i want. prospects can be cast far and wide.

brouhaha

December 10, 2007

the only way to describe hong kong, a more liberal, less uptight, really messy, densely populated and more interesting singapore. that said, i’d choose hong kong any given day. just cos i’ve been living in singapore for fucking 21 years!

pictures are mandatory.

saying goodbye to singapore never felt this good! (check out the adamair counter..)

hong kong baby! check out the cathay tails shining in a cloudy afternoon.

oh i went to venice by the way, in china that is.

hard to miss her, her ads are everywhere!

red cabs and long buses on narrow roads.

and that H&M store that i never set foot in. boo.

european touch to a sinful island, macau.

to cap it off, hong kong was great.
having the feel of the land, the next time there would be better. hong kong is as it is.
